Quick updates
Arena Depixelization Project – I started a playthrough of the game with my textures installed. I figured it would be a good way to scout for missing textures. However, besides working on more textures I missed (there are more than I thought), I have been slowly reworking quite a few that did hold up after 12 years of experience. So now I’m looking for missing texture AND doing a in-game inspection to make sure they look acceptable.

To aid in my work, I have also been using OpenTesArena to jump from area to area for testing. It’s an in-progress open-source port that isn’t 100% done but great for exploring the levels.


Lastly, I have been experimenting with OWL3D’s live 3D feature and gave it a go with Arena. It worked better than I’d thought. Very strange to experience it in 3D. I recorded it so I’ll have a video on it up at some time if someone wants to see the SBS 3D footage.

Blaketoon – Been trudging away at completing more and more. Additionally, I try to do one or two of the lost images each time I draw so the make-up work isn’t too disheartening. Forcing myself to work extra on the human enemies too because they suck the most. I really want to get this released this year so fingers crossed.
