I haven’t had a lot of time this summer but I have made tweaks here and there. There are a few textures I’ve done on another computer that I have yet to transfer over to my master files. Things have settled a little and I should be able to refocus my efforts on finishing the SET files as soon as possible.
Reenergized
For me, one benefit of extended “down time” on a project is that when I finally am able to return, I have regained a lot of my motivation. Additionally, I come back with “fresh eyes” and see ways to do things differently or better. While it’s a bummer to have to delay working on a project, I know I will always return because I love doing it and to me it’s very relaxing (even when I’m replacing every @#$% pixel in 1994 game with only 256 colors, 64×64 image dimensions and cryptic/bizarre file formats)
Pictures
Here are some photos showing some changes and things I am working or have noted.

Guess they ran out of dark green
Shifted the colors darker on the wall texture
darkened and reduced the color variation on the floor
Building texture needs tweaked a little
I made each canal/dock texture slightly different for variety
Hard to make a repeating hedge texture that is simple but effective (not sure if I’m done with this one yet)
I’m pretty happy with this one. Clean and aesthetically appealing
Did a few of the stairs
Surprisingly decorated (most rooms are sparse at best)
Every wall/door texture is this interior is complete
I should have a bad feeling about this
Wall set needs a fix and a little pizazz still
Floor needs tweak to subdue the striping
One of my earliest texture…I tried to stay true but it looks like a Taco Bell nightmare in there
Writing letters in the dark
I tweaked the wall some but may make the grout darker
Probably need to tone down the colors some
Fairly happy with this combination of textures
I have darkened the white areas on the building to the left
I plan on adjusting the building on the left as I made the lines intentionally jaggy but I’m not happy with it in game
Gate with another (unfinished) shrubbery…someone call Roger
I’m sticking with this one
Apparently they used two SET files for this fence (I won’t be fixing this)
